Lovelinks Safety Chain
Also available within the Lovelinks range is a safety chain which we strongly advise customers purchasing after having about six beads on the bracelet. The reason for this is that if something was to happen to your bracelet i.e. you bent the clasp, then the bracelet would remain held on your wrist by the safety chain whereas if you did not have one it would drop off and potentially could lose the bracelet.
Nine times out of ten the safety chain will prevent you from losing the bracelet this is why we strongly advise them, also most people tend to purchase the links every now and then you do not realise the cost of the bracelet building up! It’s often a good idea to take a picture of your bracelet every now and then so if anything was ever to happen and you needed to claim on insurance you would then have proof of once owning the bracelet.
Designs; The Lovelinks safety chain is available to purchase in high polished sterling silver and 14ct yellow gold plated one as well. With the silver chain you have four different options of which to have, the safety chain connects on each side so it looks like a link then with the chain attaching it, you have the choice of the original safety chain saying ‘Love’ on one side and ‘Links’ on the other. The key to happiness... ‘the key to’ on one side and happiness on the other. The key to success... ‘The key to ‘on one side and ‘success’ on the other. The key to my love...’the key to ‘on one side and ‘my love’ on the other side.
The gold plated version is only available in one design which is the one with ‘Love’ on one side and ‘links’ on the other. You simply just thread one of each side on to the safety chain, you can then just slide the bracelet over your hand or on one side of the safety chain is a small trigger clasp attaching the chain to the link, therefore you can just undo the chain and then do it up again once you have put the bracelet on.
Our advice;
To keep your safety chains looking its best then clean it with a sterling silver cloth. Do not force your safety chain over your hand if it is too tight then undo the clasp then do it up again one it is on as you will weaken and stretch the chain. However if your safety chain is too loose then simply move the link in a few than how it is on your bracelet which will then tighten it. (Example; So rather than being at the end move it in three links)
