Gold Plated Lovelinks
Lovelinks also make 14ct yellow gold and 14ct yellow gold plated Lovelinks as well as murano glass and sterling silver links.
There is only a small selection of about seven solid 14ct yellow gold links, there are a few plain designs, and some with hearts and others with flowers, some are set with clear cubic zirconia stones and some set with white diamonds.
Also there are some sterling silver links with added detail of 14ct yellow gold and again there is only a small selection of these which contains eight different styles again mainly made up of hearts and flowers.
As you can imagine as the price of gold is currently at an all time high the price of the all 14ct links and the links that are sterling silver containing 14ct yellow gold detail are of a rather high price range.
Alternatively if you like the all gold and two colour silver and gold links there is a larger range of sterling silver and 14ct gold plated links which start from a much lower price range which are much more affordable for most people’s price range and more the price of what they are looking to spend on an individual link.
All of the gold plated links are 925 sterling silver and then coated with 14ct yellow gold plating. Many people like to add these two colour links onto their bracelet to add an extra effect, colour and to give the bracelet a slightly higher ended price look as many people would not be able to tell which was solid 14ct gold and 14ct gold plated!
Lovelinks do two different colours of gold plating, you have the choice of the 14ct yellow gold plating or 14ct rose gold plating, the rose gold is yellow gold with copper alloys added to it to give it a slightly more pink tone. There is more choice in the yellow gold plating rather than the rose.
Like the sterling silver links that are available with patterns, animals, stones set and pendant drops, a selection of these are also available in the yellow gold plated range. Also available is the links with letters which are individual stone set letter links which people often like to put onto their bracelet to add a personal touch for maybe there own initial or for the initials of their children or partner. There are also some designs which are set with cubic zirconia stones to add a bit of sparkle to your bracelet, also different hearts design which are great for anniversaries and valentines!
Each individual link has silicone in the centre of the link (where possible there are a few designs that unable to) the reason for this is because the bracelet has a stopper at the end of the bracelet and two built on to it, therefore you just push the links over the stoppers to position them on the bracelet, you can either spread them around the bracelet which works nicely as whenever you move your wrist you are able to see links or you can put them all into one section on the bracelet.
Our Advice:
As you are aware some of these links are gold plated therefore avoid getting these near any chemicals such as bleach and chlorine as you could strip the plating off if the chemical was to react with the plating.
The best way to keep your Lovelinks looking nice, shiny and like new is to clean them with a gold and/or a silver cloth (available from most jewellers, only use a gold cloth on the solid 14ct gold links).
