Lovelinks Glass Links

Lovelinks make a wide range of glass links, all of which are made from murano glass, which is a famous product in Venetian an island of Murano which is located, just offshore of Venice, Italy. This glass has been popular in the jewellery industry for making glass products for many of years and is a very recognised glass.

Lovelinks individually hand make each and every Lovelinks bead that exists, many man hours go into producing one single link. Also by being hand made it makes every link unique if two are the same design there will still be slight differences between them which makes these glass links very loveable.

There is around 300 different murano glass Lovelinks available from there range, some which are plain and all one colour, some that have two/ three colour and many different designs including flowers, hearts, scrolls, chevrons and many more designs, some of which are set into the link and some of which are raised from the link. Also some murano glass links are also set with cubic zirconia stones to add an extra sparkle to your link.

You can also buy sets of glass Lovelinks where colour groups have been put together which makes a great start to a bracele. You can either buy sets of six or three links (please note these are fixed sets, but styles may vary slightly) with you both you save money. Also with some sets they include special edition links that are not available to purchase individually. With the sets of six it works out you get one link free and with some you also save extra money on top, it is great way to get a Lovelinks bracelet started!

Each glass link is set around a silver coil which is stamped at either end, one end with ‘Lovelinks’ and the other end ‘925’ which is the stamp and purity legally recognised for silver. Inside of each silver coil there is silicone, the reason for this is that on the Lovelinks bracelet it has a stopper at the end of the bracelet and two fixed on equally to separate the bracelet into three. It then works that with silicone inside the bead you then just need to apply a little bit of pressure to push them over the stoppers. The reason for this is so that the links do not fall of off the bracelet when you remove it from your wrist or neck. You can also spread the links out around the bracelet as there is three sections when you do not have all that any links some people link to put them all in the middle section of the bracelet so the links sit together and others like to put a few into each section so as you move your wrist some links can always be seen.

Our Advice:

As mentioned above all of the glass links are made from murano glass, you need to be careful with your links as with anything made of glass if it gets knocked, dropped or hit then you have the risk of the link braking. If one is to brake then 99% of the time it is that the link has been knocked, dropped or hit and not an actual fault with the link. However we are aware that this can happen without even realising it has happened...On a more positive note if you do brake a link then take it back to where you purchased it and more often than not they are able to help getting a free replacement from the company...this is not a promise but always worth a try!!

We advise not to wear the links when bathing, cleaning, gardening etc. Also some people have found that things like working at an office desk where they have continuously knocked against then desk which has lead them to then brake and also hairdressers washing hair in the basins and the links being knocked against it. Also they do not like chemicals such as bleach and perfumes, it can sometimes seep through the sides of the link and then form a dirty yellow shade inside of the glass.
